As New York is currently ranked third nationally in milk production and first in yogurt, cream cheese, sour cream and cottage cheese production, it’s no secret that dairy farms are a critical part of the agriculture industry and economic growth throughout New York State. At the end of the day, dairy farming is a business and farmers must be innovative, creative, business-minded and profitable to continue farming into the future.
