These simple philosophies are common on dairy farms in New York State, and are second nature to the farmers who run them.

Jon Patterson of Patterson Farms in Auburn, NY is a sixth generation dairy farm who explains, “There’s an awful lot of day-to-day learning going on around here.” Jon and his family, along with his mom, who he credits the success of the farm to, milk 1,100 cows and are happily raising the seventh generation on their family farm.
