NYAAC is embarking on an exciting new project this spring – one that will allow us the opportunity to capture the essence, emotion and beauty of modern, working dairy farms in New York State. Thanks to a generous grant from the New York Corn and Soybean Growers Association, NYAAC will be visiting five dairy farms over the next several months with a professional photographer in tow to document the lifestyle and business of dairy farming. The talented Tracey Buyce was gracious enough to take on this project and is excited to take her photography to a different stage – the farm! She spent 14 hours on the first farm, getting her hands and boots dirty by helping deliver not one – but two – new calves, among other daily chores on the farm. Check out some of her photos here – and stay tuned for more progress on this new project.
